April Snowfall..............

It is sad that we can't say April showers as the weather is not cooperating! We have been dreaming of spring and the students have done lots of art work which depicts signs of spring. That will have to do until the real season arrives! We enjoyed the story of the Little Red Hen and the Bread Lady shared her expertise in explaining how flour is made. She also taught us to bake bread and the students enjoyed the many activities she left behind for them to play with and explore. We discovered the students are excellent bakers! Pretending to be twins was also something we did this month and many children dressed the same. One highlight so far was singing two songs for our school mates and families at the mini spring concert. The students did a great job performing. For the remainder of the month and into May we are focusing on Fairy Tales. The students have been busy climbing the beanstalk to the Giant's castle where they act out the Jack and the Beanstalk story. They have also used a lot of imagination in creating a beanstalk and castle out of objects!
