Wonderful December!

December came to a wonderful end of our school year with so much fun! A couple of highlights were decorating gingerbread men with our grade six buddies. All the students showed a tremendous amount of creativity and sharing. It was a super shared experience for both grades. At the end of our gingerbread unit, our class gingerbread boy snuck away with our treats which ended in a huge gingerbread man hunt!! The students were extremely excited to track down our sneaky cookie and were happy in the end when we found him with our treats and gingerbread ornament to decorate too!  Another fun thing the students tried their hand at was working cooperatively with others to create a cup stacking Christmas tree! Last was our amazing Christmas concert. The students put a lot of heart and soul into singing their songs and the result was outstanding!  Way to go kindergarten you did an amazing job, everyone is so proud of you!! Have a wonderful Christmas break, play safe and have fun!  See you next year!

Run run as fast as you can you can't catch me I'm the gingerbread man!

We are having so much fun with our gingerbread activities. Painting big gingerbread cookies with our own faces on them was awesome!  They are all hanging in the hallway if you want to take a look! The students are so excited to hear many many different types of Gingerbread stories and notice the similarities and differences between the stories! There have been many discussions and predictions if our own gingerbread man will escape from his bag and if so how?? As Christmas is just around the corner we are also having fun in Santa's workshop and experimenting with creating very imaginative Christmas trees! Such a fun and exciting time of year!
