December Activities

December has come and almost gone! Our month has been jam packed with events!! Some of the highlights are the following! Our lessons on giving as well as receiving ended with a fun Christmas card project in which the students made and gave cards to our neighbourhood friends and also all the classes and staff in our school. Our class has amazing artists!! We have enjoyed having Stephanie in our class teaching us how to breath and be mindful in doing our work. Ask your child about the parts of our brain, they may surprise you with their knowledge! In the gym we had some fun with scarves, playing "jelly fish" game and skating. One of the biggest highlights had to be decorating gingerbread cookies with our grade 6 buddies! We did many interpretations of Christmas trees and one of the most original was building trees with cups! Santa's Workshop was a big hit, using our imaginations to create special gifts for our family members, wrapping presents and making cards. Finally concert day arrived and the students did a fantastic job singing for everyone! So talented!! Finally we ended our month off wearing PJ's, relaxing with stuffies, playing games, chasing the run away gingerbread man. Reclaiming our treats and spending time with the rest of our school family in the gym playing bingo and watching a movie. Can't wait to see what 2018 has in store for us!!
