Getting Ready for Safety City!

We are getting very excited for our first field trip of the year! At Safety City we will learn lots of pedestrian safety, so we have been practicing at school as well. In the gym some students drove vehicles (hoops) and some students crossed the roads. We all took turns and had to be very careful not to be run over by a car! Later we took our knowledge out to the street and practiced for real on the road. Everyone is now ready for our trip to Safety City! When you are out and about in your vehicle or walking or riding bikes with your children point out some traffic signs and see if they know the meaning of them, it is good to reinforce what we are learning at school.

Welcome to Kindergarten

What a start to a great year!  A short get to know each other visit on Thurs. and then a big long day on Friday. We had lots of fun playing, going to the gym, having recess and yes even learning a few things! Learning the rules and routines of kindergarten is a big job for our first several days. I am excited for this wonderful year that I know we will have. Welcome to Kindergarten everyone!!
