A Super ending to 2016!!

What a fun way to end 2016! We started the day by handing out homemade Christmas cards that the students made for each grade and staff. We were focusing on giving and not getting and the feeling of happiness we can spread to others at this time of the year. Next we opened a special present with our unwrap the present game and found out our gingerbread man was missing and took our treats. This led to a huge gingerbread man hunt around the school and ended in finding the missing man and our treats! The gingerbread man even left gingerbread man decorations to put together and to take home as well. The students had fun building "Christmas trees" out of cups at center time. Our afternoon highlights were sledding as well as hot chocolate, special Christmas snacks and the Snowman cartoon. Merry Christmas everyone and a Happy New Year too!!!

December Fun!!!

December is flying by and with it some memorable moments were made in kindergarten! This month Ben and Colten were the students of the week, thanks for working hard! The students used a lot of imagination, creativity and hard work creating works of art in Santa's Workshop. They hope you enjoyed all the unique gifts coming home. Creativity was also noted in playing with toys and producing lovely Christmas crafts. In the gym we learned how to use scooter boards and even helped Santa deliver presents in an Elf relay. The students did an amazing job singing their Christmas songs at our Christmas concert and sure looked cute too! One big highlight of our month was decorating gingerbread cookies with our grade 6 buddies. They all looked amazing and tasted great too!!
